Mike World Wide has an exciting opportunity available for a Director of New Business Development to support agency growth. The role is responsible for managing New Business opportunities in partnership with senior leadership to ensure consistency, organization, and effectiveness of responding based on the briefs. Additionally, this person will be responsible for managing agency New Business resources, maintaining consultant relationships, and assisting in Hub Spot management, as well as focusing on some prospecting initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, collaborative and passionate about learning and interacting with new people. They will ideally also have prior experience in New Business, Sales/Prospecting, and/or Public Relations. This role enables the right candidate to learn all aspects of communications planning, research development, and team building to support client prospects.

We are seeking a candidate with strong familiarity with artificial intelligence tools
, Hub Spot
, and other marketing technology platforms
. While the candidate does not need to be a technical expert, they must understand the purpose, capabilities, and practical applications of these tools, and be able to leverage them effectively to enhance business development, streamline processes, and generate actionable insights.

This role will lead the management of our prospect and/or proposal/project database and assist with assembling materials and status updates for prospect meetings.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage the pipeline as the first point of contact for potential clients, qualifying and prioritizing leads
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and KPIs to drive timely delivery across multiple initiatives
  • Ensure all RFI/RFP requirements are being addressed in proposals
  • Guide project execution by collaborating with teams across the agency, managing stakeholder expectations and delivering compelling proposals and presentations
  • Manage New Business Manager and facilitate their growth; effectively delegate tasks to them
  • Lead discovery of AI-utilization in day to day tasks to create efficiency
  • Work with the finance department to establish pitch fees and determine sustainable staffing models
  • Prepare and present concise updates, briefings, and recommendations to C‑Suite
  • Develop prospect lists and tactics to help create relationships and build connections that lead to new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain collateral updates, and other materials related to business development and marketing
  • Serve an integral role in new business processes to maintain and expand MWW’s competitive advantage
Education and Experience Requirements
  • 6–8 years’ experience in new business, sales or marketing at a PR, advertising or media agency
  • Experience vetting and responding to RFPs from Fortune 500 companies is required
  • Experience with CRM Database management
  • Experience identifying, strategically targeting, and systematically calling on prospective and existing relationships is preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously with little direction
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills required
  • Ability to effectively manage or contribute to multiple projects at once
  • Eagerness to learn with a positive, team-player attitude
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and proactively
  • A strong writer that can communicate well to different audiences
  • Ability to create cohesive and well‑thought‑out proposals
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Confident and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
