Our internships are not all work. NYAB Kansas City Service Center is located just a few minutes from Downtown Kansas City in Riverside, Missouri. When not working, spend your free time taking in the sites at Union Station, the WWI Museum, or the 18th and Vine Jazz District. Catch the KC Royals at Kaufmann Stadium, shop 'till you drop at the world famous Country Club Plaza, or hang out at the Power and Light District.
You are just a short drive to several riverboat casinos, golf courses, and more. Our interns begin work as early as the end of May and work up until the middle of August. Expect 40 hours per week and a competitive salary (based on experience and position) of up to $22 per hour. You will take part in special events, charitable work, and more.
There is something for everyone as a summer intern.
- Analyze and identify improvement opportunities in the Buyer/Planner transactional activity.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Manager to create reporting tools and charts to trend demand.
- Turn and Inventory Control performance.
- Analyze materials storage areas in warehouse and on production floor for identification of reduction of IWD and resolution of back flushing issues.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Resourceful—not intimidated by large assignments.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, professional environment and multi‑task.
- Must be self‑motivated and enthusiastic and have strong people skills.
- Education:
Business, Supply Chain or Manufacturing majors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. - General: 40 hours per week, Riverside, Missouri.
Note:
The anticipated wage scale for candidates who will work in Kansas City or remote is $16.00 to $25.00 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will depend on their class year/status.
