Purchasing Intern , Summer - Rock Hill, SC

Your Role

You will

• Assist in market research for waste management suppliers.
• Support the facility project, focusing on cleaning and security suppliers.
• Help with other categories of documentation, data analysis, and coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders. (Travel, fleet, MRO etc.)
• Contribute to project timelines and ensure deliverables are met.

The intern will be project-based due to the short duration. Their involvement will:

• Accelerate progress on critical sourcing projects.
• Free up time for the team to focus on strategic sourcing activities.
• Enhance operational efficiency and vendor engagement.

• Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic project management tools.
• Detail-oriented and proactive mindset.

• Practical experience with current sourcing techniques.
• Shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with successful procurement professionals.
• Opportunity to expand knowledge in value creation within Indirect Procurement.
• $20/hr- $22/hr

Hybrid
This role is hybrid. You will report to the main office in Rock Hill, SC Tuesday - Thursday and be remote on Monday and Friday.
