Our technology is deployed at scale to prominent commercial customers such as Adobe, DHL, Prologis, Target, and municipalities such as County of LA. Power Flex is a top 5 provider in each of Commercial Solar, Storage and EV Charging in the US.
This Business Development Analyst Intern will be a part of the Business Development Analyst team, which is accountable for providing support for the origination efforts of the company. The program is an opportunity to take your career to the next level through hands‑on experience, relevant skill training and valuable professional networking.
LocationThis role will be a hybrid position based out of our New York City Office and the selected candidate will be expected to be in‑person 3‑4 days a week. We will only be able to consider applicants who are local to New York City or are willing to relocate. Please note that relocation expenses will not be covered by the company.
WorkingSchedule
We are seeking a full‑time summer intern for a 12‑week program. This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The internship will run from Monday, June 8th, to Friday, August 28th.
Responsibilities- 40% – Assist in preparing project presentation materials, solar and battery financial analyses and marketing outreach materials
- 20% – Client research, prospect assessment and review
- 15% – Communicate with the Business Development team to convey research and findings
- 15% – Policy and public database research
- 10% – Conduct independent research to improve our services and offerings
- Currently working toward a bachelor's degree in economics, government, finance, sustainability, or a related field, with an expected graduation in 2026
- Motivated self‑starter with good commercial perspective
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and to work under pressure while maintaining a high attention to detail
- Knowledge or coursework on environmental studies, energy economics, finance or sustainability
- Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage your own projects
- Foundational knowledge of Excel modeling/tools creation, PowerPoint, Word and/or Salesforce
- Ability to interact with and build relationships with people from different departments and levels of seniority
The pay range for this position is $20 – $25 hourly.
Physical RequirementsRemaining in a seated position. Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Working ConditionsApproximately 90% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe etc.), telephones, and general office equipment. Possibly 10% of the time is spent traveling to conferences or meetings or field traveling to project sites.
