Are you passionate about leading the pursuit of new projects and clients for the studio to create unforgettable experiences through design?
The Director of Business Development will focus on generating new business from high-net-worth clients and establishing strategic partnerships with companies and professionals who support affluent households such as luxury home builders, developers, realtors, private wealth advisors, art dealers, architects, concierge firms, and nonprofit organizations with upscale donor bases.
Key Responsibilities Relationship Development & Networking- Build and maintain a strong referral network of luxury-market partners, including builders, developers, realtors, architects, engineers, art consultants, financial advisors, and other high-end service providers.
- Attend industry events, galas, fundraisers, design expos, and gatherings where affluent clients and influential COIs (Centers of Influence) are present.
- Represent the firm with professionalism, warmth, and sophistication.
- Identify and research potential clients and referral partners.
- Execute high-volume, high-quality cold outreach.
- Manage a robust pipeline from initial outreach to warm handoff with the design team.
- Analyze market opportunities and competitive trends.
- Collaborate on partnership programs and outreach strategies.
- Provide insights into luxury lifestyle and HNW trends.
- Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients and partners.
- Deliver a concierge-level experience aligned with the firm’s luxury brand.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction, Architecture, Historic Preservation, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
- 10+ years in a fast-paced, deliverable-driven environment.
- Experience leading complex sales processes involving multiple decision makers.
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, qualifying, and closing new accounts.
- Established network of COIs within luxury real estate, development, architecture, engineering, and related sectors.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
