Mailchimp is hiring a Head of Service Partners to architect and scale a global agency/service partner ecosystem that becomes a core engine of growth for our SMB and mid‑market business. This is a strategic, transformation role and a people leadership role in equal measure. You will define the multi‑year partner strategy and the 12‑month transformation roadmap—and you will build, lead, and develop a high‑performing organization to deliver it.
Your mandate includes setting clear bets and trade‑offs, defining where Mailchimp has a right to win, and building a differentiated value proposition that makes Mailchimp a platform agencies choose to build their services around. You’ll lead the organization through change—upgrading incentives, operating rigor, enablement, tooling, and Sales/Customer Success alignment—while balancing partner and Intuit economics and establishing ROI gates that unlock scale.
- Architect the multi‑year partner strategy and 12‑month transformation roadmap, including segmentation, right‑to‑win, and program maturity progression.
- Define the agency value proposition and tiering; design program economics (revenue share, MDF policy, migration incentives) aligned to Mailchimp/Intuit goals.
- Build the organization to scale: clarify remit across acquisition, activation, and growth; hire and develop leaders; set standards for performance and culture.
- Integrate partners into core GTM: launch a strategic co‑sell framework with Sales and CS; codify rules of engagement and conflict management.
- Establish governance and measurement: own partner‑channel ROI modeling, investment gates (e.g., LTV/CAC thresholds), and executive‑level reporting.
- Elevate enablement and brand: create agency‑specific certification, packaging/playbooks, and thought leadership to attract and grow top‑tier partners.
- Represent Mailchimp externally; recruit marquee partners in priority verticals/regions; serve as the executive sponsor for strategic agencies.
- Lead change management across cross‑functional teams to institutionalize operating rigor and make partner involvement a default motion where appropriate.
- 12+ years in SaaS partnerships/channel/business development; 6+ years leading managers and multi‑region/global programs.
- Proven success building and scaling agency/service partner ecosystems for SMB/mid‑market and delivering predictable revenue impact.
- Expertise in strategic program design: tiering, partner economics, incentives/comp, co‑sell frameworks, lead‑sharing, MDF.
- Demonstrated change leadership moving programs from foundational to scalable maturity; instituting operating rigor and accountability.
- Deep understanding of agency business models and monetizable packaged services around marketing automation/CRM/ecommerce platforms.
- Executive‑level cross‑functional influence with Sales, CS, Marketing, Product, Finance, Legal, Rev Ops/Sales Ops; adept at preventing/resolving channel conflict.
- Data‑driven strategist comfortable with imperfect inputs; skilled in modeling MRR, AOV, LTV, CAC, retention and making trade‑off decisions.
- Strong people leadership: hiring and developing managers, building high‑performance cultures, and setting clear standards for excellence.
- Global scope experience building programs across regions and adapting to market/industry differences.
