The Reverse Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all return-related operations, including customer returns, vendor returns, repairs, RTVs (return-to-vendor), and inventory reintegration. This role partners closely with the Fulfillment, Quality Control, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Care teams to ensure returned merchandise is processed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with company standards.
You will drive process improvements, maintain inventory integrity, and ensure high-value merchandise—such as diamonds and fine jewelry—is handled with strict controls and visibility throughout the reverse supply chain. This is a hands‑on leadership role within a developing function, responsible for strengthening systems, building scalable processes, and enhancing operational controls in accordance with sound business practices and ethical compliance standards. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence through workflow optimization, team development, analytics, and cross-department collaboration while establishing structure, accountability, and transparency across reverse logistics operations.
Responsibilities- Develop and formalize reverse logistics processes to create consistency, accountability, and scalability within the operation.
- Evaluate current workflows and implement system and process improvements to increase visibility, accuracy, and turnaround time.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies, audit standards, and ethical handling of high‑value merchandise.
- Oversee intake, and system reconciliation of returned inventory, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability.
- Partner closely with Quality Control to standardize inspection protocols.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with third‑party repair centers, ensuring clear service‑level expectations, tracking, quality standards, cost controls, and timely return of repaired merchandise.
- Oversee repair workflows, including outbound shipments to repair partners, status tracking, reconciliation upon return, and proper system updates.
- Strengthen vendor return (RTC) procedures, including documentation, claims management, credit reconciliation, and performance monitoring.
- Identify process gaps and discrepancies. Implement corrective actions to mitigate operational and compliance exposure.
- Lead and support various ad‑hoc projects focused on streamlining workflows, improving system utilization, and driving operational efficiency across reverse logistics and adjacent departments.
- Develop reporting and KPIs to monitor return cycle times, repair turnaround, financial impact, and overall performance.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to address root causes of returns and support broader operational improvements.
- Lead, coach, and develop the reverse logistics team to promote accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data tracking, reporting).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in fulfillment, supply chain, or reverse logistics operations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to review operational data.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership in improving operational processes.
- Interest in leadership development and growth toward a future management role.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field;
