Location: New York

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Business Analytics Lead Analyst in its New York, NY location.

Responsibilities

Work with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies using tools such as Python, Hadoop, and Spark. Document data requirements and perform data collection, processing, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis including data visualization techniques to assure data quality and readiness for downstream consumption using tools including MS Excel and Tableau. Interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and strategies.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as user engagement, profitability, and retention metrics. Provide data-driven insights to support product strategy and roadmap planning. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, requirements, and issues. Track performance of Travel Portal marketing campaigns and provide insights for marketing and product partners. Refine marketing strategy on Travel portal by optimizing targeting and establishing a profitability framework by developing travel propensity.

Recommend actions for future developments and strategic business opportunities. Translate data into customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies and communicate all findings clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders.

A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related quantitative occupation working with large and complex data sets and supporting the implementation of business strategies.

  • Performing quantitative analytics to support financial services, manage product performance, minimize implementation timelines, and manage organization risk;
  • Utilizing Big Data analytics methods and tools to collect and examine customer data and applying mathematical, statistical, and quantitative analysis techniques to perform complex analyses and propose solutions that align with organizational goals;
  • Utilizing Python, PySpark, Hadoop, HIVE, and SQL to extract and analyze data, identify trends and patterns and develop visualizations and tangible solutions to meet business needs;
  • Conducting risk assessments using root-cause analysis to identify, document, and mitigate potential impacts on business decisions with actionable control measures, adhering to established deadlines;
  • Translating and visualizing findings using tools including Tableau or dynamic dashboards that are leveraged to drive decisions based on data;
  • Collecting and analyzing data to optimize targeting, improve customer experience and develop segmentation strategies.

In the alternative, an employer will accept a Master’s degree and four (4) years of experience or a Ph.D and one (1) year of experience.
