Introduction

In this role, you will support day-to-day AR operations and engagements across a portfolio of analyst firms and coverage areas. This is an excellent role for an early-career professional who is curious about the enterprise technology landscape, eager to learn the Analyst Relations craft, and motivated to help a high performing team execute with excellence.

AR Operations & Coordination
  • Schedule and support analyst engagements and events; capture notes, actions, and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate records of analyst interactions and deliverable timelines across project management and AR CRM tools.
  • Support end-to-end submissions for analyst evaluations and research (questionnaire coordination, asset collection, review cycles, and deadlines).
Content & Readiness
  • Help prepare briefing materials (event decks, bio books, customer references) withcross functional stakeholders.
  • Draft succinct analyst interaction summaries and status updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the digital community by posting content, including blogs and updates on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare internal and external emails for various audiences.
Insights & Reporting
  • Track analyst sentiment, coverage, and feedback; contribute to dashboards and internal readouts on trends and opportunities.
Stakeholder Support
  • Partner with team members to gather proof points, use cases, and client references aligned to analyst interests.
  • Participate in team planning and portfolio reviews; proactively manage your tasks and deadlines, escalating for support as needed.

    Learn AR processes and best practices; understand the role analysts play in market influence and buyer behavior.
  • Products & Solutions:
    Develop foundational knowledge of IBM offerings, key features, competitive differentiation, and client benefits supported by references and use cases.
  • IBM Strategy:
    Articulate IBM’s strategy at a high level and how your portfolio area fits and adds differentiating value.
Skills
  • Tools & Systems:
    Use IBM approved AI, tools, and systems to support projects, workflows, and reporting.
  • Relationships:
    Build trusted, respectful working relationships with analysts and IBMers across functions and work styles.
  • Communication:
    Write and speak clearly for 1:1 and 1tomany settings—draft recaps, emails, and briefing notes for senior leaders and SMEs.
  • Strategic Thinking:
    Connect IBM business needs with analyst research agendas to inform engagement plans and tactics.
  • Organization:
    Multitask, prioritize, and respond with urgency; “plan the work and work the plan.”

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Business, Communications, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (AR, PR/Comms, product marketing, market research, consulting, or PMO/ops internships welcome).
  • Strong written and verbal communication; detail‑oriented with excellent organization and follow‑through.
  • Comfort using productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365/Google Workspace) and learning new platforms quickly.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI, enterprise technology, market trends, and the analyst ecosystem.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Analytics Tools Familiarity:
    Exposure to working with various analytics tools to understand market trends, analyst opinions, and the impact of influence on business outcomes.
  • Research Agenda Knowledge:
    Experience working with analyst research agendas and published reports, including identifying opportunities for engagement and participation.
  • Market Trend Understanding:
    Exposure to analyzing market trends and leveraging insights to inform business decisions and optimize product/market fit.
