Director of Purchasing

We are leading a search for a Director of Corporate Purchasing to drive enterprise-wide procurement strategy across a multi-site flexible packaging organization.

This leader will directly impact profitability and growth by leveraging strong analytical, forecasting, and negotiation expertise to secure raw materials and transportation services on favorable commercial terms.

• Lead strategic sourcing across critical raw materials and logistics/transportation providers
• Own supplier selection, RFP process, contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor performance management
• Drive cost control, supply continuity, and inventory alignment to support manufacturing and sales objectives
• Partner cross-functionally with Production, Sales, Technical, Safety, and Supply Chain leadership
• Lead and develop a team of raw material category managers and the Corporate Transportation function
• Collaborate with site-level procurement teams across centers of excellence to ensure enterprise alignment

• 10+ years of progressive procurement leadership experience within manufacturing (flexible packaging preferred)
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and contract expertise
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Analytical, data-driven decision maker with strong business acumen

This is a high-impact leadership role with visibility across operations, finance, and commercial teams.
