About the Role
We are seeking a driven, experienced Sales Manager to join a growing, multi-division consumer products business. You will help accelerate growth across key retail channels, partnering closely with ownership and an established sales team of four (including a senior representative with 25+ years of experience and a very junior representative). This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience selling into large retailers, ideally within home, soft goods, or related consumer product categories.
Key Responsibilities- Drive and grow sales across off-price and major retail channels, including accounts such as TJX, Ross, Burlington, Walmart Canada, Giant Tiger, Dollar General, Hobby Lobby, and Macy’s.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand existing business and open new doors across key categories: baby & kids soft goods (towels, bibs, rompers, bodysuits, pajamas, blankets, some apparel), home and bath, housewares, food storage, beach, storage/organization, and a new pet division.
- Work closely with the current sales team (including ownership, a senior representative, and a junior representative) to bring structure and new ideas to the sales process.
- Manage and deepen relationships with buyers and merchants at large retailers and off-price chains; ensure regular touchpoints, line reviews, and follow-up on opportunities.
- Gather and communicate market and customer feedback to inform product, pricing, and assortment decisions across divisions.
- Coordinate internally with operations, product, and leadership to ensure on-time delivery, accurate information to customers, and successful program execution.
- Prepare and present sales updates, forecasts, and pipeline activity to leadership.
- Proven sales experience with large retailers; experience in home, soft goods, housewares, baby/kids, or related consumer products is strongly preferred.
- Comfort working with off-price and value retailers (e.g., TJX, Ross, Burlington, Dollar General) and/or major retailers such as Walmart Canada, Giant Tiger, Hobby Lobby, and Macy’s.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with buyers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple product divisions and categories while keeping a strong focus on revenue growth.
