Senior Legal Specialist

Our client is a privately owned investment management firm. They seek a Senior Legal Specialist to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate new clients and counter parties into firm systems and workflows
• Partner with client-facing colleagues to manage documentation, service requests, and ongoing relationship support
• Compile executive-level materials and presentations for senior leadership and governance meetings
• Draft and review corporate and transactional documents in coordination with external advisors
• Advise on domestic and international regulatory requirements, filings, and compliance initiatives
• Support strategic transactions, including acquisitions, restructurings, and ownership matters.
• Streamline internal legal operations by enhancing processes, tools, technology usage, and records management systems
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, providing project management and operational support across business units
• Evaluate commercial agreements, vendor contracts, confidentiality agreements, and investment-related documentation
• Respond to due diligence inquiries, compliance requests, and proposal support efforts across stakeholders

• Undergraduate degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience at a law firm or financial services, ideally in asset management, is preferred
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing offering documents
• Proven ability to work directly with clients, external parties, and cross-functional business units
• High standards, personal accountability, and a detail-oriented approach to tasks
• Experience and confidence to work in a growth environment
• Self-motivated professional capable of working independently while maintaining a collaborative team spirit
