Role: Associate Director, S&P Global Corporate Strategy
The Team: You are part of the larger Enterprise Strategy & Planning Team and will report to the Corporate Strategy team. This role focuses on S&P Global Corporate Strategy supporting a broad range of strategic activities for a business of approximately $14 billion in revenue and over 40,000 employees worldwide. You will contribute to establishing strategic growth priorities and plans and tracking key business metrics and progress against initiatives.

The Associate Director is a key member of the Strategy team and participates in driving near‑ and long‑term strategic objectives. You will manage multiple complex projects of significant strategic impact, often across departmental boundaries and geographies, and lead the presentation creation process for regular reports to S&P Global management.

The focus is on corporate strategy development, M&A prospecting, due diligence, and transaction execution. You will partner closely with teams across S&P Global to identify and assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
Responsibilities- Design and execute strategic projects, formulating recommendations and obtaining stakeholder buy‑in.
- Work with leads in corporate strategy and senior management to define and set goals through the annual strategic planning process.
- Develop actionable recommendations to support the business strategy and work with senior team members to implement them, building trust and consensus.
- Develop business and operational action plans and collaborate with stakeholders to drive implementation.
- Articulate the S&P Global strategy in a clear, compelling narrative tailored to executive audiences.
- Prepare communications of S&P Global strategy and updates to the board of directors and investor community, occasionally taking a central role in presentations.
- Support the M&A team and Chief Client Office in profiling target companies for acquisitions, joint ventures, and alliance partnerships.
- Participate in scenario planning, case studies, and modeling to strengthen strategy.
- Analyze businesses and opportunities to assist in executing strategic decisions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Identify changes in market conditions, regulatory environment, and macro‑economic factors that may require strategic adjustments.
- Act as a role model, educator, coach, and mentor across the organization, advocating for an enterprise mindset.
Base Salary: $120,456 to $207,939 USD (actual figure depends on location, experience, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications).
Incentive: Eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For BasicRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of relevant experience (financial analysis, M&A modeling and execution, strategy, or senior executive support)
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects with significant strategic impact
- Superior strategic and analytical skills and insight generation
- High motivation, initiative, and influence over senior leaders
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and executive‑level PowerPoint skills
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of the financial data industry
- Preference for experience with a publicly listed company with global operations
- Preference for candidates with AI/technology strategy experience in financial services
