ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Sr Business Analyst (Wealth) plays a key role in understanding business needs, analyzing requirements, and translating them into functional solutions. They work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and strategic initiatives. The Business Analyst utilizes their analytical skills, domain knowledge, and technical expertise to gather and document requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and support the successful implementation of projects.

This role requires strong communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business needs, objectives, and requirements.
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to elicit requirements and gather necessary information.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify areas where current processes or systems fall short of meeting business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and recommend process improvements, system enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, use cases, and user stories.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for proposed solutions.
  • Work closely with development teams and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Participate in system testing and support user acceptance testing activities.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for business systems and applications.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to facilitate effective communication and understanding.
  • Assist in training and knowledge transfer to end-users and stakeholders on new systems and processes.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of work experience in business analysis, or a similar role;
    Broker Dealer products, operations and wealth solutions knowledge preferred.
