Overview

We are looking for a Sourcing/Operations Planner for a top fashion/beauty company in New York, NY. This role manages supply chain planning, costing, financial communication, on-time delivery, and inventory for specific business categories. This role is a trusted advisor for both internal cross-functional partners and external vendors. This person has exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and influencing skills, and is motivated working in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
Pay $24/hr;
Onsite.

Contract:

6 month contract.

Responsibilities
  • Vendor Management:
    Responsible for ordering and management of Component Inventory and Finished Goods;
    Manage S&OP between vendor and beauty business;
    Ensure vendor OT&C accountability is at 95% or higher; ensure finished product is delivered to warehouses in a timely manner; work with vendors to prioritize production;
    Expedite shipments/production to meet speed initiatives;
    Short-term and long-term capacity planning;
    Issue component and finished goods purchase orders and negotiate with vendors to secure production;
    Communicate new launch forecasts and medium-range receipt plans;
    Partner with vendors to identify future supply chain requirements.
  • Brand Management:
    Build relationships as a trusted advisor;
    Manage speed-to-market initiatives;
    Communicate/update changes to open orders (OT&C accountability at 95%);
    Review and communicate feasibility and timing for all buy requests;
    Inform cross-functional partners of excess inventory in Semi-Annual Sales and Clearance buys; assist with component run-outs to reduce inventory liability;
    Partner with cross-functional partners to develop new launch and medium-range receipt plan;
    Understand and support business and process changes with a speed and agility mindset;
    Identify opportunities to reduce lead times and gain agility within the supply chain.
  • Inventory Management:
    Responsible for data integrity of Material Requirement Planning (MRP);
    Execute buys using SAP MRP;
    Manage component inventory targets;
    Maintain BOM accuracy (waste factors and usage); collaborate with Inventory Control during Book to Book to identify and resolve BOM issues;
    Assist Inventory Control with Physical Inventory and support issue resolution;
    Justify excess inventory in quarterly review of Excess and Obsolete reconciliation;
    Conduct End of Season inventory management planning; execute ad hoc cycle counts and run outs to reduce liability;
    Analyze data, review reports, and resolve issues to maintain a clean Book of Business with focus on inventory turns.
  • Large-Scale Change Management Projects:
    Support change management Allergen update project (Regulatory Compliance – not optional);
    Maintain weekly tracker to report Sourcing task progress with cross-functional teams;
    Conduct mass downloads of specification information for over 150 Finished Goods and 200+ components;
    Copy and verify costs on new Allergen Compliant Finished Goods and components;
    Approve workflows in PLM, prepare Win shuttles for PIR creation in SAP, and roll costs for all new Finished Goods.
  • Costing Support:
    Cost Roll reporting/execution;
    Rebate Calculation and Collection;
    Assist as needed with impact analysis;
    Execution of cost increase requests, surcharges and PPV review/approval.
  • Commercial Support: PO updates;
    Send FG and component RFQs;
    Update PCOG trackers;
    Process tooling forms.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • APICS, CPIM a plus
  • 3-5 years of sourcing, production planning, supply chain, or inventory management experience
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or consumer goods/retail preferred
  • Solid business acumen and ability to make recommendations and business decisions in partnership with leader
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated initiative and ability to achieve results
  • Ability to build and foster strong trusted advisor relationships with internal and external partners;
    System and computer proficiency (SAP, MS Office)
