The TeamA&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice serves middle market and large-cap private equity firms to improve operating results at portfolio companies. PEPI focuses on developing deep functional skills and tailoring solutions for client issues, including Supply Chain, Transformation Services, Manufacturing Operations Improvement, Interim Management, M&A Services, and CFO Services.
Our Supply Chain professionals analyze the supply chain process, including Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Logistics and Distribution, and Integrated Demand and Supply Planning to identify value creation opportunities and drive EBITDA improvement.
How You Will ContributeWe seek individuals who can lead and deliver project work streams for complex client engagements, collaborating with Private Equity teams to identify, design, and implement solutions for portfolio companies. Managers lead work streams and may conduct analyses or lead teams to deliver results.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s procurement organization and strategic sourcing capabilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet growth and financial objectives through integration with forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and distribution & logistics
- Develop and manage efforts in sourcing and procurement
- Lead supplier identification, approval, contract/pricing negotiations and vendor relations
- Develop implementation plans to drive changes in procurement and sourcing initiatives
- Effectively perform analysis and/or lead teams to conduct analysis depending on project scope
- Strong written, oral, and analytical skills

- 10 plus years of combined consulting and/or industry operating experience
- Preference for industry roles within Sourcing and Procurement functions
- Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4 consultancy highly desirable
- MBA preferred
- Experience working for or with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies
- Deep industry expertise in direct materials (examples include steel, resin, chemical, packaging, foods, automotive, textiles, solvents, plastics, polymers, adhesives, electronics, IT)
- Demonstrated track record of leading sustainable high-impact strategic sourcing approaches
- End-to-end procurement strategy design experience
- Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis
- Travel flexibility up to 80%
The salary range is $125,000–$190,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program.
