Every day is different, but here’s an example of the kind of things you’ll work on:

• Building a network — You’ll identify the major players in the restructuring world and figure out how to collaborate with them on data
• Database — You’ll work with 9fin’s editorial, engineering, sales and product teams to build monthly/quarterly league tables capturing restructuring mandates in the US
• Reports — You’ll work with our journalists and analysts to create data-driven stories

This role will be a great fit if you:

• Have 2+ years working in data journalism/business development/data analysis
• Have basic knowledge of distressed debt/restructuring
• Are proficient in programming languages (i.e. Python or R), latest database softwares and other tools such as web crawling and making state and federal public-records requests
• Are able to build relationships with key market participants and get them comfortable with sharing their data
• Are a team player — Comfortable working with journalists, analysts, engineers and product managers to build best-in-class league tables
• Are detail-oriented — Able to understand nuance and hone in on important details, without losing sight of the bigger picture

• Competitive Salary: $100,000-$120,000
