We seek a highly capable Business & Corporate Development Leader who will oversee in-licensing/out-licensing, strategic alliance management, corporate strategy and corporate development. As a key leader, reporting to the CEO, this individual will implement, and execute a corporate and business development strategy that will facilitate the company’s proprietary mitochondrial regeneration platform. This individual will be primarily focused on sell-side, out-licensing of this powerful technology to large pharma partners and will build, track, and oversee all BD opportunities

Responsibilities
  • Search and develop external out-licensing partners (and potential in-licensing opportunities if applicable)
  • Design and execute deals around the company’s Oncology & Hematology platform
  • Implement a negotiation strategy in partnership with the CEO
  • Search & evaluate creative deals with a variety of potential partners including pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, foundations, research institutes, government agencies, etc.
  • Manage all aspects of any deals from concept to close, term sheet negotiation through alliance management
Required Skills
  • BA/BS, MBA or PhD in an applied life science or business discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in senior business development roles in a high growth biopharma company
  • An established deal sheet that demonstrates a track record of identifying, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and executing sell-side deals with biotech and pharma companies
  • Keen ability to understand sell-side BD opportunities from a strategic perspective; capable of materializing deals through term sheet negotiations and deal execution
  • Expertise in executing deals within Oncology biotechnologies desired
