Overview
Rhino + Jetty is making housing more affordable and accessible for millions of renters each year. We’re the market-leading rental housing platform building simpler, more accessible ways for people to move into homes — and for property managers to lease with confidence.
Our technology removes friction from the move-in process, lowers upfront costs for renters, and helps property managers make faster, more accurate decisions. We support a network of 3 million rental units nationwide and work with 47 of the NMHC Top 100 property owners, including Greystar, Brookfield, Asset Living, UDR, and more.
We pioneered security deposit insurance and continue to push the industry forward with a growing suite of products — from deposit management to lease guarantees and loss-of-employment protection. We’re growing quickly, tackling real problems at scale, and building technology that’s changing how renting works.
As a Senior Product Manager at Rhino + Jetty, you’ll be responsible for the consumer-facing quoting and purchase experience as well as the internal tools that we use to develop and manage the risk-bearing products we offer. You’ll partner closely with Risk, Insurance Product, Data Science, and Product Design & Engineering to translate models and risk strategies into customer-facing experiences that grow the business while protecting portfolio quality.
This is a high impact, entrepreneurial role on a lean, flat Product team. You’ll report to the Chief Product Officer and will have direct exposure to the CEO and the rest of the Exec Team.
Responsibilities- Own the strategy and roadmap for underwriting, pricing, purchase and payments across key products (e.g., security deposit insurance, cash deposit solutions, lease guarantees), including rules for which products we surface and how we can bundle.
- Partner with Risk and Data Science to turn models, pricing frameworks, and underwriting guidelines into scalable, maintainable product capabilities.
- Design and refine purchase experiences – both owned and embedded with partners – to improve application, offer, and bind rates while maintaining healthy loss ratios and unit economics.
- Identify and evaluate new data sources and risk signals (internal and external) that can strengthen underwriting, improve pricing accuracy, or expand eligibility.
- Define and monitor a KPI stack that aligns to business goals and use these metrics to drive prioritization and tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to ensure our risk products and decisioning approaches meet regulatory, contractual, and partner expectations.
- Partner with Servicing and Distribution PMs so experiences are coherent end-to-end—from eligibility & pricing at purchase, to servicing, renewals, and partner reporting.
- 5+ years of experience in product management or a combination of product and analytics/strategy roles in fintech, insurtech, lending, or other risk-heavy domains, ideally in a business with an “embedded” / B2B2C go-to-market motion.
- Strong familiarity with underwriting, pricing, or credit/risk decisioning (e.g., lending, insurance, BNPL, or similar).
- Demonstrated success working with data science, actuarial, or analytics teams to ship model-driven features or platforms.
- Comfort with experimentation and measurement (A/B tests, cohort analysis, lift measurement) and the ability to design tests that balance statistical rigor with speed.
- Strong analytical and technical curiosity; you’re comfortable digging into datasets, understanding how models work at a conceptual level, and asking good questions.
- Excellent communication skills—especially the ability to explain tradeoffs between growth, risk, and experience in a way that drives alignment.
- Based in the New York area and willing to work in a hybrid model using our Manhattan office.
