Unison Direct (Global) Role Purpose
Unison Direct is seeking a high-calibre, self-driven Sales & Business Development lead to build and scale our US business. This role is for a proven deal-closer with an established personal network (“black book”), strong credibility with decision-makers, and the maturity to lead cross-border sales execution.
The individual will own revenue growth in the US, drive pipeline creation, convert strategic opportunities, and orchestrate execution with the India delivery and business development teams.
This is not a passive or support role. It requires hustle, ownership, leadership, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities 1. Revenue Ownership & Deal Closure- Own end-to-end revenue growth for Unison Direct in the US
- Personally originate, qualify, negotiate, and close deals
- Drive high-value enterprise, mid-market, PE-backed, and founder-led clients
- Build predictable pipelines across Finance & Accounting Outsourcing, Fractional CFO, FP&A, BPM(Process Management), and Advisory services
- Leverage existing personal network (CFOs, Founders, PE/VC, Family Offices, Controllers, CEOs)
- Open doors at senior decision-maker level
- Act as a trusted advisor, not a transactional seller
- Represent UD credibly in the US market
- Lead and direct the India-based BD and pre-sales teams
- Clearly define target accounts, ICPs, vertical focus, and outreach strategy
- Ensure structured follow-ups, proposals, and deal progression
- Demand execution discipline and accountability from the offshore team
- Define US-specific sales strategy, pricing positioning, and value proposition
- Identify priority industries (e.g. PE-backed businesses, real estate and private equity funds, pharma, manufacturing, services)
- Build strategic partnerships with CPAs, advisors, consultants, and ecosystem players
- Provide continuous market feedback to leadership
- Help refine service offerings, packaging, and pricing based on US buyer behaviour
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across existing accounts
- 12–20+ years in Sales / Business Development / Revenue Leadership
- Proven track record in outsourced services, consulting, accounting, finance, IT services, or professional services
- Demonstrated ability to close complex, high-value deals in the US
- Experience working with India delivery teams is highly preferred
- Extremely hard-working, disciplined, and self-motivated
- Mature, grounded, and emotionally intelligent
- Strong leadership presence and credibility
- Comfortable working directly with a global CEO and senior leadership
- High integrity, transparent, and accountable
- Strong, active personal network of:
- CFOs, Controllers, Founders, CEOs
- Private Equity / Venture Capital ecosystem
- Professional advisors (CPAs, lawyers, consultants)
- Ability to convert relationships into business, not just introductions
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Confident representing UD at boardroom and C‑suite level
- Meaningful US revenue traction with closed deals, not just pipeline
- Strong, repeatable sales motion established
- High-quality prospects entering the funnel consistently
