Business Development & Marketing Manager
Full-Time | Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote)
Our client a global professional services firm is seeking an experienced Business Development & Marketing Manager to join its Marketing team.
This is a strategic, highly visible role partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive business development initiatives across key practice and industry groups.
Role Overview
This position serves as a dedicated liaison to practice and industry leaders, helping to develop and execute business plans, marketing strategies, and client development initiatives. The Manager will play a critical role in deepening client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and elevating the firm’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Practice & Client Development
- Partner with practice leaders to create and execute BD and marketing plans
- Identify growth opportunities using data, market intelligence, and competitive insights
- Manage BD infrastructure including experience databases, tracking tools, and collateral
- Support budgeting and ROI analysis for BD initiatives
- Coordinate research and cross-selling opportunities
- Support onboarding and integration of lateral hires
- Lead and manage RFPs, pitches, and proposals
- Develop tailored responses and presentation materials
- Prepare and coach pitch teams
- Support post-pitch follow-up and reporting
- Lead submissions for rankings, awards, and industry recognition
- Partner on client events and thought leadership initiatives
- Collaborate with communications and PR teams
- Support lawyers’ involvement in professional organizations
- Manage and mentor junior team members
- Oversee workflow, performance development, and collaboration
- Partner across departments on cross-functional initiatives
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, business development within a firm.
- Strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in professional services or law firm environments a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and senior stakeholders
