Summary: As a Financial Coordinator you will have the opportunity to be part of a training class, learning the ins and outs of the Benefits industry. This entry-level role provides structured training and a clear development path within the Benefits team, offering hands-on experience in client-facing analytics and financial modeling. This role follows NFP’s hybrid work model; specific in-office expectations vary by location and business need.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting- Prepare financial analyses using Excel and internal tools.
- Download, transform, and format carrier data to create standardized claims reports.
- Support financial modeling for client meetings and deliverables.
- Assist with program renewals and competitive market analyses.
- Participate in internal meetings to plan client deliverables.
- Attend client meetings and complete follow-up items accurately and on time.
- Compile and validate datasets for analytics projects.
- Provide support for ad hoc reporting and analytical requests.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, carrier representatives, and internal account managers.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of employee benefits and carrier products.
- Familiarity with benefits administration or healthcare reform concepts.
- Comfort presenting information in small-group settings.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred but not required; internships or coursework in finance, analytics, or benefits are helpful.
- Licensing required within 6 months.

The base salary range for this position is $59,000 to $65,000.
The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
