Responsibilities

The Special Situations role at City Storage Systems leads the company’s most unique, analytically demanding, and strategically sensitive initiatives. You’ll work closely with our CFO and often CEO to distill complex data into clear recommendations, pressure-test business cases, and guide decisions that shape the company’s financial trajectory.

Projects may be externally or internally focused, and might include entering new markets, evaluating large-scale investments, driving structural cost transformations, and/or improving forecasting methods / accuracy, capital allocation processes, or improving financial reporting. You’ll build robust financial models, develop strategic theses, assess asymmetric opportunities, and coordinate execution on initiatives that require discretion and speed. Many projects involve incomplete information, tight timelines, and high-stakes outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong finance toolkit who wants to apply their analytical rigor beyond pure deal execution—shaping the operational and strategic levers that drive long-term value creation at scale.

What we’re looking for

• 2-5 years at a top Investment Bank, Consulting Firm, Venture Capital Firm, or Private Equity Firm
• Direct experience deploying capital or directly supporting investment thesis/diligence
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM Field from a top university
• Strong problem-solving ability, structured thinking, and a collaborative mindset
• Demonstrated interest in online food delivery and related market growth
• Collaborative environment: you will receive support and guidance from experienced colleagues and managers, helping you to learn, grow and achieve your goals

This role is based in our New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles office location. As a company driven by innovation and continuous change, close collaboration is essential.
