Overview
A Growth Stage Venture Firm Opportunity
Insight Partners has opportunities for undergrads or 5-year masters students, graduating between December 2026 – June 2027, to join the company as a Full Time Investment Analyst starting in September 2027.
Our Investment Analyst Program focuses on developing professionals in the venture and PE investing business. You will learn how to best speak to entrepreneurs, learn different business models that are attractive to Insight, how deals are structured and modelled, and all aspects of the lifecycle of a deal. You will be supported by an analyst mentor, your team members, and partners.
Few leading investment venture & PE organizations offer the type of opportunity that Insight Partners offers undergraduates in their first job. The life blood of our organization is sourcing, and you will be immediately thrust into the exciting world of venture-funded businesses and buyout deals, pending your interest. You will be speaking with entrepreneurs every day, learning from them, questioning them, and potentially recommending their business for an investment by Insight.
We have a tradition of promoting from within and developing the skills that will propel analysts in their careers.
- Job #1—Find Great Companies: locate them, ascertain growth prospects and momentum, learn about their markets, develop investment theses, and cultivate strong relationships with entrepreneurs to demonstrate Insight’s value before, during, and after fundraising.
- Get involved with deals: when a deal goes live, participate in the evaluation process, negotiations, due diligence, industry and market research, financial modeling, and customer analytics.
- Developing investment memos: assemble qualitative and quantitative analysis of a deal to present its risks and merits.
- Find great M&A targets: identify synergistic targets, understand deal structure, and assess post-acquisition organization.
- You value being part of a team: each Summer Analyst is placed on an investment pod with its own personality and investment preferences.
- You are a skilled communicator: the Analyst’s outreach is a competitive advantage; you will learn to speak to entrepreneurs and persuade them to engage with Insight.
- You are committed to excellence: you will be challenged in a competitive environment to learn rapidly and contribute meaningfully.
- You aren’t afraid to learn by doing: you will be trained but should be comfortable working independently and charting your own path.
- You are fascinated by entrepreneurs: your goal is to understand what makes a business successful and help entrepreneurs win.
- You are ready to embrace a work hard, play hard mentality: long hours and demanding work, with regular social events and outings.
- You have a hunger to win with integrity: competitive individuals who value ethics and collaboration fit into Insight’s culture.
