Role DescriptionThe Commodities Sales person will be responsible for managing and growing our physical commodities sales, including sales, sourcing, logistics, and financial risk management. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, a commercial mindset, and a keen understanding of global trade dynamics.
The sales person will work closely with producers, suppliers, and customers to identify market opportunities, negotiate transactions, and optimize supply chain efficiencies. This position offers significant growth potential within our expanding organization, with exposure to international markets and high-level decision-making.
Core Responsibilities- Market Analysis & Strategy – Conduct research on market trends, supply chain opportunities, and pricing strategies to drive business growth.
- Customer & Supplier Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients and suppliers.
- Trade Execution & Risk Management – Manage the end-to-end sales process for physical commodity transactions, including contract negotiation, execution, and logistics coordination.
- Global Trade Engagement – Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and networking events to identify new opportunities and enhance brand presence.
- Operational Support – Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of trades, compliance with regulations, and optimization of supply chain processes.
- Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience (commodities experience preferred but not required).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Ability to analyze complex market data, assess financial risks, and develop trading strategies.
- Self-Starter & Team Player: Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced team environment.
- Work Authorization: Must have U.S. work authorization.
- Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel may be required.
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 (based on experience).
