The role of DES Service Associate is to serve as a member of a temporary work unit on a disaster relief operation to complete their assigned areas of responsibility They ensure equitable distribution of supplies in a variety of work locations throughout the cycle of the disaster.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and distribute supplies
- Ensure accuracy of all assigned tasks
- Meet the disaster-caused bulk supplies needs of individuals, families, and communities
- 18+ age Driver’s License REQUIRED
- Ability to function in a high-stress environment
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to interact with community members in a compassionate manner
- Ability to lift 20-50 lbs multiple times during a shift
- Ability to bend and stoop multiple times during a shift
