About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive to lead revenue growth by selling advisory products and services to private equity firms (PE) actively pursuing acquisitions in the United States. This role sits at the intersection of deal sourcing, relationship management, and strategic sales, and is ideal for a professional with a strong understanding of private equity, M&A, and transaction advisory services.

You will be responsible for building relationships with investment professionals, primarily at PE firms and their portfolio companies, understanding their acquisition strategies, and positioning our advisory offerings as critical tools in sourcing, and facilitating closings of transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, target, and develop relationships with U.S.

    -focused private equity firms, including partners, principals, and portfolio executives
  • Drive new business by selling advisory products and services supporting acquisitions (e.g., deal sourcing, executive networking, buyer and seller communications, and facilitation to closing)
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through qualification of clients through proposal, negotiation and close
  • Develop a deep understanding of client investment theses, sector focus, and deal pipelines to tailor advisory solutions
  • Collaborate closely with advisory, research, and marketing teams to ensure solutions align with client needs and are executed successfully
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and meetings with private equity sponsors
  • Track market trends, competitive activity, and deal flow within the private equity ecosystem to inform sales strategy
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and reporting for management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • 3–8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, consulting, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of private equity deal processes, M&A lifecycle, and acquisition strategies
  • Proven ability to sell high-value, consultative advisory products to sophisticated financial buyers
  • Established network within the private equity or M&A ecosystem is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Comfortable engaging with senior-level stakeholders and decision-makers
