We are working with a top 50 AmLaw firm seeking a Senior Business Development Manager
to drive growth and market positioning across key practice areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded, full-service law firm. The role focuses on strengthening visibility and integration across Capital Markets, M&A, Litigation, and Regulatory practices
, supporting companies operating at or approaching scale.

As a strategic partner to practice leadership, you’ll develop and implement coordinated business plans, go-to-market strategies, and client engagement initiatives. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure lifecycle continuity and identify expansion opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Work with practice leaders to assess BD needs, develop practice plans and budgets, and identify cross-marketing opportunities.
  • Partner Support: Collaborate with partners to create and execute business plans, monitor BD activities, and drive pursuit strategies.
  • Market Positioning: Guide competitive research and market analysis to uncover themes and growth opportunities.
  • Content & Events: Develop strategies for targeted events, sponsor ships, speaking engagements, and thought leadership.
  • Integration: Support lateral partner onboarding and client integration in partnership with recruiting and practice development teams.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Establish meaningful KPIs to measure BD impact and improve efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor BD team members and foster a collaborative, positive work environment.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of business development experience in legal or professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of public companies and cross-sell strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to distill complex topics.
  • Advanced proficiency in CRM tools, research databases, and MS Office (Excel expertise required).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or JD preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
