Manage and administer product operations, product launch and forecasting efforts for the generics commercial team. This position generates sales analytics, product management and portfolio analysis to support the Generics Retail business. It collaborates with supply chain, manufacturing, sales, and internal pricing and contracts teams, working cross‑functionally with brand business units, retail and institutional generics to process and administer all contracts and bids for commercial products to meet company goals.
This role reports directly to the Senior Marketing Manager.
- Analyze complex data of generic pharmaceutical product supplies, demand, customer demographics, and pricing to evaluate market dynamics.
- Analyze internal and external environment, market and product level trends, and customer behavior to forecast product demand for commercial products.
- Analyze internal supply schedule versus forecast and ensure the supply team provides requested products on time and in volume to support the business; act as conduit between Demand Planners and Sales team.
- Provide input to supply chain for sales planning and lead product growth with sales team to drive business and achieve revenue, profit and market share goals.
- Assist in development of sales budgets and forecasts through running IQVIA data.
- Participate in the weekly inventory calls to lead marketing team action points and maintain a tracker for the marketing team.
- Manage assigned portfolio of 100 molecules, 300 SKUs at customer level, product level forecasting, track new awards, and manage wins and losses with pricing through SAP management tool.
- Provide proactive and in‑depth financial analysis of product current state of business and potential rationalization.
- Create monthly sales IQVIA data analysis and SOP reports for sales team and senior management.
- Monitor market share at product level based on competition, pricing utilization, costs and work with sales and pricing teams to evaluate recommendations for forecast adjustments.
- Assist preparation, delivery and presentation in PowerPoint and Excel to summarize complex data analysis – Sun and competitor’s market share, position, sales, and other key metrics.
- Work with internal stakeholders to research new entrants on IQVIA, gather data, and prepare various data sources such as direct customer sales, indirect distributor sales, and other adjustments for forecasting, sales planning and budgeting.
- Complete ad‑hoc analyses and projects per Management’s request; review and address interdepartmental requests for product and marketing information.
- BS in business, marketing or related discipline.
- 5+ years applicable work experience in marketing or analytics.
- Strong orientation to detail and ability to grasp new concepts.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Solid communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Past pharmaceutical experience would be preferred.
The presently‑anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $110,000 to $122,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage;
