Structure: Hybrid (3x in office a week)
The Senior Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the commercial strategy that drives category growth, channel performance, and flawless execution in market. This role oversees pricing strategy and implementation, channel development, innovation commercialization, portfolio/mix management, and all commercial planning activities including BTL programs and permanent visibility. The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-driven, with deep expertise in go-to-market strategy, customer engagement, and cross-functional leadership.
Responsibilities- Define and lead the overall pricing strategy across channels and customer segments in conjunction with global team.
- Oversee annual pricing reviews and ensure accurate execution of pricing changes with sales and finance partners.
- Track price compliance, competitive pricing, and market dynamics to recommend adjustments.
- Develop and execute channel strategies to maximize distribution, visibility, and profitability.
- Identify growth opportunities by channel and customer type.
- Collaborate with Sales to design customer-specific plans and activation toolkits.
- Monitor channel KPIs and optimize resource allocation.
- Lead the commercialization process for all innovation launches, from concept to in-market execution.
- Define launch plans, channel prioritization, pricing strategy, and go-to-market timelines.
- Align cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Supply, Finance) for seamless launch execution.
- Track launch performance and provide insights for future pipeline development.
- Manage product portfolio strategy, SKU productivity, assortment optimization, and mix improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular reviews to improve profitability and shelf efficiency.
- Recommend line rationalizations and assortment changes by customer/channel.
- Partner with demand planning to support forecasting and scenario planning.
- Lead the annual commercial planning cycle, including promotion calendars, visibility plans, and trade investment allocation.
- Design BTL programming that drives conversion, visibility, and incremental volume.
- Coordinate shopper marketing initiatives and targeted in-store activation.
- Measure ROI and continuously optimize promotional effectiveness.
- Define permanent visibility strategy, including equipment, displays, POS materials, and planograms.
- Manage visibility budget and ensure efficient deployment across markets/channels.
- Work with agencies and suppliers to develop high-quality brand-building assets.
- Ensure visibility execution excellence via field audits and retailer feedback.
- Leverage market data, shopper insights, and competitive intelligence to guide commercial decisions.
- Produce clear reporting on trade performance, pricing effectiveness, and channel KPIs.
- Lead cross-functional working groups to ensure alignment and strong market execution.
- Serve as the commercial bridge between Marketing and Sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–7 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Category Management, Channel Strategy, or Commercial roles.
- Proven experience leading pricing strategy and cross-channel commercialization.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent project management and leadership capabilities.
- Experience working closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams.
- Ability to manage large budgets and complex commercial initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- 5% travel, evening and weekend coverage on occasion.
