As a consultant member of Fabrique’s U.S. team, you will serve as the strategic bridge between our global designers’ creative visions and local consumer needs. You will combine data-driven insights with a strong understanding of American women’s fashion to independently build merchandise strategies for each seasonal drop, ensuring Fabrique’s successful commercial performance in the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market-Driven Merchandise Planning:
Independently lead Fabrique’s seasonal merchandise planning for the U.S. market. Define the assortment structure, designer collaboration focus, pricing architecture, size strategy, and launch cadence to meet the expectations of the North American market.
  • Data Analytics & Insights:
Build and maintain analytical models to deeply interpret sales data, market trends, competitor movements, and consumer insights. Provide strong data support for key decisions such as buying budgets, inventory depth, and promotional strategies — optimizing inventory health and sales efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Act as the merchandise expert for the U.S. market. Closely collaborate with HQ design partnerships, product development, and global marketing teams, offering data-backed market feedback to ensure global product strategies are effectively adapted and executed locally.
  • Buying Function Support:
May involve or closely support buying activities — translating merchandise strategies into buying orders, and tracking and reviewing subsequent sales performance.

Experience:

  • Merchandise management, or senior buying at an international womenswear brand or major retail company
  • Buying background preferred, but strong analytical capability is essential.
  • Strong familiarity with the North American apparel market.
Core Skills
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling functions) and experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred. Ability to build financial models, forecast sales, and analyze inventory.
  • Strong Numerical Sensitivity: analytical thinking, and strategic reasoning—capable of transforming complex market data into clear business plans and actionable strategies.
  • Communication & Influence:
Excellent communication skills in English (and Mandarin if HQ coordination is required). Able to deliver clear, persuasive presentations to teams across cultures.
