AboutThe Role
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Group Operations—a strategic, commercially minded operator who can build scalable systems and drive measurable business growth across Fora’s Groups segment. This role is part strategist, part operator, part community builder. You’ll oversee the operational backbone of our Groups business—optimizing contracting, logistics, and execution—while also enabling Fora advisors to grow revenue and deliver outstanding group experiences.
You’ll report to the GM, Groups and work closely with advisors, partners, and cross‑functional teams to ensure our group programs are efficient, profitable, and high‑impact.
- Lead end‑to‑end operations for Fora’s group travel business (MICE, weddings, milestone, and affinity groups), ensuring consistent, exceptional execution.
- Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and scalable workflows for contracting, vendor coordination, and fulfillment.
- Partner with advisors to guide project management, supplier negotiations, and event logistics from proposal to post‑travel wrap‑up.
- Own and monitor key performance metrics for the Groups business — including revenue per advisor, group booking volume, conversion rate, and client retention.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase adoption of group travel offerings and advisor engagement.
- Work closely with Product, Training, Events, and Partner Relations teams to ensure operational excellence and alignment with broader Fora initiatives.
- Partner with supplier networks to negotiate contracts, strengthen relationships, and improve margins.
- Serve as the operational voice of the Groups team, advocating for advisor and client needs in internal discussions.
- Support and mentor advisors building their group business, ensuring they’re equipped with tools, resources, and best practices for success.
- Create group‑specific training modules and materials.
- Foster a sense of community and shared learning among group advisors through round tables, office hours, and internal programs.
- Build and maintain dashboards to track operational and financial performance of group programs.
- Identify bottlenecks, surface insights, and implement continuous improvements that enhance efficiency and advisor satisfaction.
- Experience: 5+ years in meetings & events, group travel, hospitality, or operations management. Experience at a travel agency preferred but not required.
- Commercial acumen: Proven ability to connect operational excellence with revenue and performance outcomes.
- Systems builder: Skilled at designing, implementing, and scaling efficient operational processes.
- Data‑driven operator: Strong analytical skills; able to interpret metrics and drive measurable improvements.
- Collaborative leader: Exceptional communicator and relationship‑builder across internal teams, advisors, and suppliers.
- Strategic thinker & hands‑on doer: You can see the big picture and execute with precision.
- Client‑obsessed: Deeply committed to delivering best‑in‑class advisor and traveler experiences.
