Overview

K. Hovnanian is celebrating over 65 years of quality and leadership in the home building and community development industry. Do you want to play a large role in those everyday decisions that help build dream homes? It’s the homes where people will raise their child, form their most important memories, plot the course for their future, spend quality time with their grandchildren or enjoy quiet times reflecting on a life full of accomplishments.

Over 300,000 families have put their dreams in our hands, and you can as well.

We are a national home builder with a rapidly growing and expanding supply chain.

While other top homebuilders are maintaining the status quo, in this changing market, we are focusing our energy on the single thing we can do the best: being a customer-centric home builder. This focus allows us to separate from the competition, redefine our industry, and grow our market share.

We are looking for an individual who is innovative but can act quickly and execute. If you are a problem solver or are resourceful to know where to go to solve the problem, we’re looking for you. The ideal candidate is creative, innovative and loves to tinker with new things. This person can bring ideas to life.

As the National Procurement Manager, you will be a member of a growing Supply Chain Team. An individual that effectively acts as a subject matter expert for assigned product categories and conducts K. Hovnanian’s procurement processes to include international and domestic sourcing solicitation and pre-qualification, bidding, negotiation and award. Routinely monitor and provide vendor performance feedback, contract and performance dispute resolution, and overall vendor management.

The National Procurement Manager will engage and work with sourcing teams to select the best and most cost-effective solution, whether it be through national vendors, traditional supply chain, domestic sourcing partners, or development and import of international product. This position is eligible for the hybrid schedule and requires the ability to travel.

Remain engaged, as needed, throughout the process to ensure accurate and timely implementation. Visibility to all terms of the deal must be shared with the business units.
  • Manage maintenance of contracts directly or through various sourcing teams.
  • Regularly review and communicate vendor performance and resolve vendor performance disputes.
  • Promptly notify business units of all price or contract term changes impacting budgets or schedules.
