Category Manager - Produce, Grocery Category Management

The Worldwide Grocery Category Management team is looking for a Produce Category Manager to curate selection for the multi-banner omnichannel Amazon Grocery business.

You will have accountability for business results of your product categories. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of your product portfolio including setting overall category strategy, curating product selection, developing promotional and marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements and creating best‑in‑class customer experiences. You will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense, and a solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, ability to move fast, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

• 3+ years of with Excel experience
• 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
• Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
• Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience

• Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
• Experience with pricing and selection strategy
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
