About The Role
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of client events—receptions, seminars, and thought‑leadership programs—across New York and other firm markets.
- Lead end-to‑end event logistics, including venue sourcing, vendor and catering management, A/V, décor, transportation, marketing materials, run‑of‑show creation, and onsite execution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys and Marketing colleagues, ensuring every program reflects firm standards and delivers an elevated client experience.
- Oversee invitation workflows from drafting and distribution to RSVP tracking, list management, and follow‑up communication.
- Manage event budgets by securing vendor estimates, tracking expenses, and ensuring alignment with approved cost parameters.
- Act as the primary coordinator for New York‑based events, partnering closely with the Senior Business Development & Events Manager and the broader Marketing Events Team while maintaining knowledge of key venues, trends, and experiential opportunities.
- Support post‑event business development efforts through follow‑up coordination, internal debriefs, and data updates in Salesforce; use internal tools (Salesforce, Outlook, document‑management systems) to manage workflows and enable strong cross‑office coordination.
- Uphold the firm’s Client Service Principles by communicating clearly with attorneys, colleagues, and clients; modeling professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment; and managing rapid‑turnaround requests typical of the New York events environment.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent significant experience.
- At least four years of event management—ideally within a law firm, professional services environment, or the New York events landscape.
- Demonstrated success managing complex event logistics, vendor relationships, and high‑touch, client‑facing programs.
- Strong project‑management and multitasking skills, with the ability to balance competing deadlines and deliver results in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy across writing, copy editing, research, and data management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interact effectively with partners, clients, and senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to assess information quickly, anticipate issues, adapt to changing circumstances, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency with relevant technology platforms;
Salesforce experience strongly preferred. - High level of professionalism, resourcefulness, and resilience, including the ability to work independently, handle shifting priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform onsite event tasks.

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience;
and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
New York salary range: $80k to $112k
