Overview
The Vin Solutions Performance Manager builds and maintains relationships with external clients to drive product utilization and revenue retention. The role protects revenue streams and expands product adoption across the client base while collaborating with other managers for consistent service.
Responsibilities- Retain external clients by independently managing accounts assigned within the portfolio.
- Build and maintain relationships ensuring customer needs drive priorities, decisions, and activities.
- Engage with clients through onsite visits and virtual screen sharing to drive insights and improve business processes.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients and all client staff at all levels from within the dealership.
- Work with at‑risk clients, identifying action plans to turn around and retain the relationship.
- Identify key barriers and core problems preventing clients from meeting business objectives, applying problem‑solving skills and strategic insight.
- Provide responsive guidance beyond what clients ask for, influencing how to use product capabilities to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze account performance and trends to adjust dealer expectations and achieve results.
- Respond to system red flags/emergencies with immediate action.
- Improve processes and systems through conceptualization and interpretation during client engagement.
- Maintain product knowledge including new releases and enhancements in the direct area of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field. Candidates could also have a master’s degree with 2 years’ experience, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience, or 8 years’ experience in a related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in retail automotive sales, service, or management OR combined experience working directly with dealerships, preferably in an advisory or account management capacity.
- Direct experience desking deals in a retail automotive environment.
- Working knowledge and experience in retail automotive and broad capabilities through software utilization.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of technologies, screen share technologies and other relevant software systems.
- Ability to effectively work with all levels at an automotive dealership or dealer group.
- Ability to communicate in a way that retains audience engagement.
- Exceptional listening skills and ability to detect problems/risks without face‑to‑face, asking open‑ended questions to provoke thoughtful disruption.
- Client focus and strong customer service skills/approach.
- Persistent, proactive, highly motivated self‑starter passionate about client satisfaction.
- Ability to work remote, nearly autonomously under moderate supervision, following department standard practices and procedures.
- Desire to work in a highly collaborative atmosphere through remote technologies.
- Ability and eagerness to learn complex technology and basic understanding of web‑based systems.
- Ability to travel potentially up to 50%, with travel consisting of in‑market and overnight or occasional weekends.
USD 82,500.00 – per year. Base salary range with additional annual incentive/commission target of $27,000.00. Pay may vary based on location and experience.
Benefits SummaryEligible employees may take as much vacation with pay as consistent with duties and company needs, seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year, up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually, and additional paid time off including bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
