Location: Bronx, New York, 10470
Salary: $50,000–$75,000 per year (based on experience)

A locally owned fabrication company seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Estimator
to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for fabrication projects, working closely with vendors, clients, the front office and the shop floor to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

• Review project drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Analyze takeoffs and production methods to ensure accurate pricing
• Communicate with internal teams to clarify scope and timelines
• Assist with change orders and pricing adjustments as needed
• Maintain organized records of estimates and project data

• Previous experience as an estimator (fabrication, metal, construction, or manufacturing preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software (or willingness to learn)
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
