Base pay range$85,000.00/yr - $/yr
DescriptionThe Service Technician diagnoses, repairs and maintains BMW vehicles in accordance with BMW Factory and BMW Center standards. This position promotes BMW standards for superior workmanship.

Responsibilities- Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with BMW Factory and BMW Center Standards.
- Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction, and recommend/perform appropriate repairs.
- Examine vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Service Advisor.
- Perform diagnostic review and repair most issues without extended assistance.
- Perform very basic service on vehicles, mount and balance tires; perform wheel alignments on all vehicles.
- Advanced knowledge in BMW electrical systems (e.g., coding, programming, bus systems) of both older and newer model vehicles.
- Working knowledge of BMW DC/TC list and ability to implement it effectively.
- Knowledge of BMW SIB's and expertise of Dealer Speed online portal.
- Ability to diagnose and repair any type of cooling system issue.
- Must be able to diagnose and repair most mechanical engine issues.
- All licenses required to perform repairs and New York State inspections must be up‑to‑date.
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste.
- Meet all requirements of state and federal law dealing with automobile repair and consumer protection.
