Empire Automotive Group Hyundai New Rochelle Parts Counter

We’re currently looking to hire an Auto Parts Counter Person to join our team. We are looking for a career‑minded, customer service‑oriented individual with previous auto parts sales experience. This position will be a salary based position that is driven by team success, working with the technician contributing to the growth of the store.

• Oversees the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicates with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Converses effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status.
• Reads and understands the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts.
• Answers phone calls and provides price quotes and other information to customers.
• Reviews body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct, and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provides high level service to both internal and external customers.
• Pulls/fills orders from stock and maintains weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out‑of‑stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out‑of‑stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
• Ensures all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.

• High school diploma or equivalent and auto parts sales experience (preferred).
• Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Some parts counter experience, dealership or aftermarket.
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate figures/amounts including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, %, area, circumference, and volume.
• You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• You understand the importance of listening and being empathetic.
• You have strong work‑ethic with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
• You have experience providing outstanding customer service by showcasing expertise, fostering trust, and growing customer satisfaction.
• You have friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude.
• You are open to constructive feedback to improve your performance and development.
• Flexible with work scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays.
• You have strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
