Location: New York

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Audience Development Manager to support our event team in building and maintaining high-quality contact lists for event invitations. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in data management, research, and audience development, with a strong ability to analyze and organize data efficiently. This role will also require part-time focus as an administrative coordinator across the M+D ecosystem, including multiple client projects.

Key Responsibilities Audience Development: 80%
  • Data Research & Collection:
  • Identify and pull new contact data from various sources (e.g., Linked In, industry databases, CRM tools including Salesforce, Rocket Reach, etc.) to expand event invitation lists.
  • Ensure data accuracy and relevance by verifying contact details and job titles.
  • Contact List Cleaning & Management:
  • Remove duplicates, outdated entries, and irrelevant contacts from existing lists.
  • Filter out competitors to our sponsors and job titles that do not align with event objectives.
  • Organize and segment contact lists based on event-specific criteria (e.g., industry, seniority, location).
  • Database Maintenance:
  • Update and maintain CRM or contact management systems with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Ensure data integrity by regularly auditing and cleaning databases.
  • Work closely within the team to understand audience targeting requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on list progress and data quality.
  • Assist in analyzing audience engagement metrics post-event to refine future targeting strategies.
  • Compliance & Best Practices:
  • Ensure all data collection and management practices comply with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Stay informed about industry trends and tools to improve data research and management processes.
Project Management: 20%
  • Planning and Coordination:
  • Assist with the overall planning of events, ensuring all logistical details are aligned, preparing event schedules, arranging transportation, and tracking event budgets
  • Schedule meetings and prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, coordinate meeting logistics as required
  • Administrative Support
  • Handle administrative tasks as required by the M+D team such as preparing client and/or project materials, maintaining lists and databases, and ensuring all important documentation and correspondence are up-to-date and accurate
  • Manage files, prepare reports, handle confidential information, and perform research or tasks as needed to assist the team in preparing proposals and
  • Correspondence and Communication
  • Handle client/vendor communications such as drafting and sending correspondence, ensuring timely responses
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in data management, research, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Sales Intel, Rocket Reach, etc.) and data management platforms (Hub Spot)
  • Strong research skills with the ability to source and verify contact information efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Onsite corporate event experience & ability to demonstrate in-person charisma when client facing
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data cleaning and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in events, marketing, research/data, and audience development.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Linked In Sales Navigator or similar tools for prospecting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of event management or event marketing strategies.
