Description

This full-time apprenticeship focuses on the development and integration of skills in support of all administrative, curricular, and artistic operations of the Drama Division’s actor training program and the Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program. The apprentice will contribute to the dynamic atmosphere of the Drama Division, making a significant impact on the success of the division’s many activities.

The salary is $18.50 per hour for 40 weeks, or a contracted amount of $29,600.00 for the school year. The schedule operates on standard office hours, requiring occasional flexibility to accommodate specific events or projects. This is a forward-facing role, and an on-campus presence to interact with students, faculty, staff, and guests is expected.

Reporting to the Managing Director and in collaboration with the Drama Division Staff, ideal candidates possess a collaborative spirit, a strong work ethic, excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills, and have a passionate interest in arts administration, the artistic process, student development, and higher education.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to Drama Division staff, faculty, and students, managing general communications, office inventories, student information, and running errands out of the building as needed.
  • Assist with annual audition process involving over 2,000 candidates.
  • Manage and track all reservations and correspondences for annual Actor Presentations in New York and Los Angeles.
  • Collaborate with team members on the 4th-year and playwright website, including headshots, resumes, and production photographs.
