Office Manager (Ongoing Temporary) – Tech Company About the Role
A fast-growing tech company is seeking a proactive, people-focused Office Manager to lead the day-to-day workplace experience at our NYC office. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys building vibrant, well-run spaces where teams can do their best work.
You’ll serve as the heartbeat of the office—owning operations, elevating employee experience, and helping guide an upcoming office move. If you’re hands-on, organized, and energized by creating exceptional workplaces, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do- Serve as the go-to person for office culture—gathering feedback, fostering connection, and creating a positive workplace environment
- Plan and support engaging office events that build morale and community
- Act as the first point of contact for guests and employees, delivering a high-touch experience
- Oversee daily office operations and budget management, including:
- Supply ordering & inventory
- Building maintenance coordination
- Shipments and employee requests
- Manage interior maintenance, cleaning services, and ensure vendor compliance (COIs on file)
- Support space planning, desk moves, and an upcoming office relocation
- Partner with People Ops on onboarding and offboarding (desk setup, inventory, assignments)
- Negotiate with vendors, process invoices, and track monthly budget spend
- Maintain internal documentation and workplace playbooks
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and monthly audits
- Contribute to environmentally sustainable workplace practices
- 3+ years of experience in Office Management, Workplace, or similar employee-facing roles
- Experience supporting an office move strongly preferred
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments (150+ employees is a plus)
- Strong initiative, attention to detail, and customer service mindset
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal and vendor management skills
- Creative thinker who proactively enhances employee experience while managing costs
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Experience with Notion, Envoy, and Google Workspace is a plus
