RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as the first point of contact for phone calls and emails from brokers, providing customer service and triaging inquiries.
- Process endorsements, cancellations, and declinations, and assist Underwriters with policy responses.
- Coordinate and track ongoing service requests from brokers, including policy information, certificates of insurance, and other data.
- Bind insurance policies in appropriate systems and issue binders/invoices to brokers.
- Provide administrative assistance to team members, maintain diligent record keeping of inbound inquiries, and perform data entry as needed.
- Offer backup support to team members on an as‑needed basis.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional customer service experience in an office or call center environment.
- Aptitude for computer‑based work with advanced technical skills in Distinguished’s software applications and Office 365.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone skills.
- Good judgment, common sense, and decision‑making abilities.
- Creative problem‑solving and anticipation of requirements.
- Ability to build working relationships with internal and external customers and high‑level interpersonal skills with retail insurance brokers and co‑workers.
- Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
- NY Property and Casualty insurance license (12 months preparation time permitted).
This hybrid role reports to the NYC Midtown Manhattan office with flexible work‑from‑home options available.
COMPENSATION AND PERKS- $50,000 base salary plus yearly cash bonus.
