OverviewHuman Resources Solutions (HRS) supports the human resources needs of the Department of Social Services, including the Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS). HRS is recruiting for one (1) Clerical Associate IV to function as a Timekeeper.
Responsibilities- Verify all changes in assigned work units, such as leave status, by telephone calls to the unit’s timekeeping/personnel liaison and make adjustments in the Payroll Management System for paycheck preparation.
- Review Citytime reports (daily Transmitted, Not Transmitted, Late Overtime, Leave Approvals, Leave Without Pay) to enable weekly processing of leave usage and overtime earned.
- Verify employee leave balances via PMS and RMDS reports on processing dates, processing leave without pay when balances are insufficient.
- Review previous day’s entries for accepted, rejected, or suspended status; correct data to avoid paycheck impact.
- Interact daily with personnel services, payroll, and worker’s compensation representatives to process long‑term leaves such as Child Care, Medical, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation, determining last day paid to avoid over payment or underpayment.
- At the end of the Payroll Timekeeping biweekly cycle, prepare hold lists for employees with incomplete records and release paychecks after validation.
- Prepare supplementary paychecks during the Monday‑Wednesday payroll window to correct errors due to late submissions or administrative errors, and process refunds via the disbursement unit.

- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
- Typing speed of at least 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute.
