the role

As a Partner Recruiting Assistant, you will provide administrative assistance in support of the activities and processes of lateral partner and counsel hiring for the California, Texas and Chicago offices primarily, and other offices, as directed by the Partner Recruiting Manager and other department leadership as applicable. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance with scheduling interviews for lateral partner and counsel candidates and collating feedback
  • Preparing initial drafts of correspondence to lateral partner and counsel candidates to confirm interview dates and times and other related logistics
  • Booking conference rooms and video conference (e.g., Zoom, Web Ex) links as needed for interviews
  • Liaising with the travel department to coordinate flight, hotel, and other necessary travel arrangements
  • Helping maintain candidate databases
  • Assisting with scheduling internal meetings as needed
  • Assisting with processing candidate reimbursements
  • Providing support for special projects as needed
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co- workers
About you

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have exceptional organizational skills needed to manage time, prioritize, and handle multiple deadlines while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude
  • Have strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
  • Are able to display exceptional judgment with the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion
  • Have the ability to identify complex issues and elevate as appropriate, with well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm
  • Are able to work collaboratively in a team environment with a customer service focus and be able to support interdisciplinary projects and initiatives
  • Have the ability to develop strong knowledge of Firm resources, policies and procedures and a deep understanding of firm culture, sensitivity to the needs of diverse and multicultural constituencies, and strong computer and technical skills, including MS-Word, Excel and Power Point

And have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of one (1) year of law firm, administrative or professional office experience is also preferred
Compensation & Benefits

Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also receive a generous and competitive total compensation package. The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.

Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit‑sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
