DESCRIPTION
The Glimmerglass Festival seeks an Operations Coordinator for its 2026 Summer Festival Season.
The Operations Coordinator is an essential member of the Operations team, supporting the daily administrative and logistical functions that keep our campus running smoothly throughout the summer season. This position reports to the Director of Operations and works collaboratively with staff across all departments, with particular focus on communication, scheduling, and front-of-house support.
Primary responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day operational tasks; maintaining documentation and internal records; assisting with event and project logistics; supporting House Management and Patron Services operations; and providing general administrative support to ensure the organization functions effectively. Some projects will be completed independently, while others will require working closely with colleagues in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The Operations Coordinator will also assist with onboarding seasonal staff and apprentices; help maintain supply and resource inventories; and provide occasional reception and phone coverage. A successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to fostering a positive, solutions-oriented workspace. Dedication to safe practices, clear communication, and collaborative problem-solving is essential.
This role includes office-based work as well as occasional on-site or event-related tasks. Some responsibilities involve lifting supplies or boxes, walking campus grounds, or standing for periods of time while supporting House Management and front-of-house needs. The responsibilities of this position require the employee to be physically present on campus to complete assigned tasks.
This position runs April/May through August 2026. $16.50/hour, non-exempt. Housing provided.
