The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Court Clerk Specialist in the Kings County Supreme Court. This position will serve as our Ex-Parte/Part 72 Department supervisor. The Ex-Parte Department reviews motions, Orders to Show Cause, and orders submitted after decisions on motions are made by the court.
Key Responsibilities- Supervising staff.
- Answering complex legal procedural questions from the public, Bar, and Bench.
- Conducting unsafe building calendar calls.
- Reviewing emergency applications filed in the Supreme Court.
One year of service in the Principal Court Clerk, Principal Appellate Court Clerk or Principal Surrogate s Court Clerk title;
or Admission to the New York State Bar and three (3) years of legal experience;
or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
