Position: Administrative Assistant / Team Member
Location: New York

Schall & Ashenfarb, CPA's is a 25-year-old, small CPA firm with the resources and quality of a larger, regional firm. Our clientele comprises of over 100 diverse not-for-profit organizations, arts and entertainment, legal, medical and other professional service firms, professionals, self-employed individuals and more. We have a high retention rate for employees as well as clients! We are looking for an addition to our team that will aid in delivering the high- quality service that our clients have come to rely upon.

Job Description

Seeking a full-time Administrative Team Member. This position would be well suited for a detail-oriented individual who works well in a fast-paced environment which requires delivery of multiple of time sensitive projects running simultaneously.

  • Typing financial sta tements in word and excel
  • Proofreading d o cuments for accuracy
  • Assembling tax
Firm Administration:
  • Receptioni s t skills (answering phones, taking messages, manage mail)
  • Supports other staff members of the firm
  • Maintain Company Ou tlook database
  • Document management including, filing, copying, faxing, scanning, storage system
  • Accounts Receivables (including, but not limited to): billing, collection, and reconciling client accounts
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Adobe
  • Ability to format and proofread financial statements
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience using accounting software (i.e. – Quick Books,); working knowledge of Pro Systems Engagement, a plus
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and able to work under the pressures of deadlines
  • Must be able to work well with others and work independently, without assistance
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential client data
  • May be required to work additional hours to meet client demands
