OverviewPosition is part‑time (20 hours per week). Current fiscal year requirement: 712 hours through June 30, 2026. After that, 1040 hours per year (20 hours per week). The College Assistant supports the Assistant Program Officer, Executive Officer, and Deputy Executive Officers in running the Economics Program.
Responsibilities- Assist with setting up events (seminars, alumni day, meetings, recruitment, executive conferences).
- Handle AV, catering, facilities requests.
- Assist with social media presence and brand building for CUNY.
- Assist with course evaluation and processing related data.
- Assist with registrar forms for faculty, student, and prospective students.
- Assist with alumni and recruitment outreach and relations.
- Search for and contact alumni through social networks and assist in developing the alumni database.
- Participate in the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, assist with related tasks.
- Assist with proctoring First, Second, and Final Exams as needed.
- Provide backup coverage to the APO as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform the duties of the assigned tasks.
- Some college attendance is a plus.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise discretion and make informed judgment decisions.
- Excellent computer skills (Mac and PC, word processing MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, database Excel).
- Excellent clerical skills (filing organization and attention to detail).
$20 per hour.
