Technical Accounting Manager

Coda Search is partnering with a high-growth organization seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting with offices located in NYC. This role will own complex accounting matters, support financial reporting, and help build scalable accounting policies and processes as the business continues to grow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Big 4–trained CPA or experienced technical accounting professional looking to step into a highly visible role with real impact and long-term growth upside.

• Serve as the subject-matter expert on complex technical accounting matters under US GAAP
• Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 810, ASC 740, share-based compensation, etc.)
• Prepare technical accounting memos, white papers, and position papers for management, auditors, and external advisors
• Support SEC reporting and financial reporting processes, including 10-K and
  10-Q
• Partner closely with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Operations on transactions, contracts, and business initiatives
• Assist with M&A activity, including purchase accounting, integrations, and post-close accounting
• Support audits and act as a key liaison with external auditors

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience in technical accounting, public accounting (Big 4 preferred), or a combination of public and high-growth industry experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders
